WE’RE AN INDEPENDENT, FAMILY-RUN BUSINESS

Unthank Trailers serves the local communities across Derbyshire 
and South Yorkshire with reliable trailer services.

Managed by Dave and Kirsty Lowe, we are a fully insured and experienced team, dedicated to delivering reliable and professional trailer services.

As a qualified technician through the National Trailer Towing Association (NTTA), Dave oversees servicing and repairs in our fully-equipped, specialist workshop. Our secure yard also offers a ample space for trailer drop-offs, turning and parking.

Meanwhile, Kirsty manages all customer queries and requests, ensuring that we maintain the highest standards across all of our services – from trailer servicing, repairs and sales.

Together, we work with all types of trailers up to 3.5 tonne, supporting a wide range of industries including ground maintenance, construction, landscaping, plant hire and tree surgery.

We are proud to be official Bateson Trailers dealers, supplying a wide range of high-quality to suit both personal and commercial needs.

Our trailer range includes horse trailers, car transporters, tipping trailers, plant trailers, general purpose trailers, unbraked trailers and livestock trailers. We can also accommodate for special orders, including canoe trailers, bin trailers and more.

Sales

As proud Bateson trailers, we offer a wide range of high-quality trailers to suit all needs. Many of our trailers for sale are available in stock, and we can also build to order with a lead time of around 4 weeks. We also have some part-exchange or second-hand trailers in stock, too, all of which have been fully serviced and TER theft-checked.

Q. What kind of trailers do you service and repair?

A. We service and repair any trailer with a gross weight of up to 3.5 tonnes. This includes horse trailers, car transporters, plant trailers, tipping trailers, general purpose trailers, unbraked trailers and more. 

Q. What availability do you have in your trailer servicing and repairs?

A. Availability can vary, so the best way to check is to drop us a message through our contact page, or via WhatsApp or Facebook. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible to arrange a convenient time.

Q. How much is a trailer service?

A. Costs depend on the number of axles your trailer has, and whether it is unbraked or braked. However, our prices typically range from around £50 + VAT. For a precise quote tailored specifically for your trailer, just get in touch!

Q. What is included within a trailer service?

A. All of our trailers are serviced off the floor on specialist lifts. During the service, we’ll thoroughly check tyres, tyre pressure, wheel bearings, brake cables, flooring, chassis and suspension, tow hitches, fixtures and fittings. We’ll also take apart the trailer’s hubs and brakes, cleaning them, regressing and adjusting if needed.
